Sejerø Spisehus (eating house)
On Sejerø you will find the eating house Spisehuset, where "food nerds" Rasmus and Ulla treat the guests with Italian-French dishes containing the best

Danish commodities. Most ingredients are local products.
Rasmus og Ulla grow their own herbs behind Spisehuset - Rasmus also uses these herbs to make herbal snaps. Sea kale grows straight down on the beach, and the other vegetables they buy from the neighbours. All in Spisehuset is made from scratch and the bread is homemade.
The snaps route
It tastes as good as angels sing. It warms you all the way down into your big toes - and as an added bonus the herbs have various good effects on you.

Herbal snaps can be made on almost all the herbs, flowers, shoots, roots and leaves, you can find in nature. Both goslings and bark from the willow tree and the small new shoots from the pine trees yield wonderful snaps. Cherry tomatoes create their own herbal flavour, while snaps of fresh leaves from the wild onion is an appropriate companion with your smoked herring. Thyme snaps embellishes the split peas.
Each year, a trip around Sejerø is organized, where there are opportunities to experience nature on Sejerø at close range and get tips on how to mix your herbal snaps from different flowers and herbs. Anecdotes and stories about the wonderful world of snaps are told - and then of course samples are served.
